Early Childhood Outreach is expanding our early childhood educator training options for 2027/28, with new presentations and workshops designed to provide practical, relevant professional learning for educators working with diverse children.
Our new training includes more interactive sessions and extended discussion time, giving educators opportunities to explore specific topics and consider strategies they can apply within their own early childhood settings.
As part of these updates, the SPACE training has been expanded and renamed Creating Connections using SPACE, incorporating the perspective of a non-speaking Autistic child within an early childhood centre. The revised session encourages educators to consider the child’s experience and explore practical ways to support communication, participation and inclusion using the SPACE framework.
We also have two new training options coming soon: Amazing Environments and Toileting training. Amazing Environments explores how learning environments can influence the participation, success and wellbeing of both children and educators, with a focus on sensory supports, furniture placement, storage, equipment layout, indoor and outdoor programs, and early literacy and numeracy. The toileting session considers why some children may need additional support and helps educators build practical understanding and confidence in this area.
Early childhood educator training and coaching that works for your team
Alongside our early childhood educator training, we will continue to offer our popular two-year coaching package.
The package provides regular coaching and training support each term and is tailored to the individual needs of educators and their service. Support can be provided online, face to face, or through a combination of both.
This means professional learning can move beyond a single training session. Educators have opportunities to reflect on what is happening within their setting, discuss challenges, build their knowledge and consider practical strategies with ongoing support.
Whether your team is looking for training on a particular topic or longer-term coaching and professional learning, Early Childhood Outreach can help you choose an option that suits your educators, children and setting.
